Moala Bannavti is a PhD student at the University of Iowa focusing on Sustainable Water Development within the College of Engineering. In 2018, she graduated from Delaware State University with a Bachelor of Science (Natural Resources) and a minor in Theater. Being a first-generation immigrant from Cameroon, raised in an economically disadvantaged NJ suburb, Moala is inspired to dedicate her research to humanitarianian efforts. She hopes to continue to encourage minority-predominant communities to be more environmentally conscious through her career in environmental engineering.
